Optimal displacement of immiscible two-phase fluids in a pore doublet

چکیده

Multiphase fluid flow in a pore doublet is fundamental problem and important for understanding the transport mechanisms of multiphase flows porous media. During displacement immiscible two-phase fluids doublet, process influenced not only by capillary viscous forces, but also channel geometry. In this paper, mathematical model presented considering effects force, geometric structure. This leads to new more general analytical solution system, it found that dominated number, viscosity, radius ratios. Also, optimal defined, which refers wetting two daughter channels breaking through branches simultaneously (i.e., both having same breakthrough time). critical number corresponding obtained, related ratio viscosity fluids. Finally, results are can be used explain understand preferential media, such as improving oil recovery from media; these usually observed recovery, groundwater pollution, geological sequestration carbon dioxide.
